Careers at Cura Homecare

At Cura Homecare, we believe exceptional home care starts with exceptional people. Our carers are at the heart of everything we do, and we’ve built our organisation around supporting, respecting, and valuing the professionals who deliver care every day.

Based in Chippenham, Cura Homecare provides high-quality, person-centred care to adults and families across Chippenham and the surrounding Wiltshire area. We support people to live safely and independently in their own homes, while maintaining dignity, choice, and control at every stage of care.

That same commitment to dignity and respect applies to our staff.

A local care provider with strong values

Cura Homecare is a locally run care provider with a hands-on management team and clear standards. We’re not a faceless national chain — we know our staff, we know our clients, and we understand the communities we serve.

Our care teams work across Chippenham, Corsham, Melksham, Calne, Bradford-on-Avon, Trowbridge, Lyneham, Royal Wootton Bassett, Devizes, and surrounding villages. This local focus allows us to plan care efficiently, keep travel time realistic, and build long-term relationships between carers and the people they support.

We believe continuity matters — for clients and for staff.

A positive, supportive workplace culture

Our workplace culture is built on professionalism, honesty, and support. We recognise that care work is demanding, both physically and emotionally, and we take our responsibility to support staff seriously.

When you join Cura Homecare, you become part of a team that values:

  • Clear communication

  • Realistic expectations

  • Mutual respect

  • Accountability at every level

Our carers are never left to struggle alone. The office team is accessible, management is visible, and support is always available when you need it.

Pay, benefits, and fairness

We offer a competitive pay package, alongside paid mileage and paid travel time between calls. Rotas are planned carefully to avoid unnecessary pressure, and we aim to balance consistency for clients with fair workloads for staff.

In addition, we provide:

  • Holiday pay and workplace pension

  • Ongoing training and development

  • Opportunities to gain further skills and progress

  • Flexible working patterns where possible

We believe good care comes from carers who feel supported, valued, and fairly treated — not rushed or overworked.

Training and development

Previous care experience is welcomed, but not essential. Many of our best carers joined Cura Homecare without prior experience and were trained to a high standard from day one.

All staff receive:

  • Comprehensive induction training

  • Ongoing refresher training

  • Role-specific training where required

  • Clear care plans and guidance

We invest in our team because confident, well-trained carers deliver better outcomes for the people we support.

The work we do every day

Our care teams support individuals with a wide range of needs, including:

  • Personal care and daily living support

  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s care

  • Stroke recovery and neurological conditions

  • Physical and learning disabilities

  • Mobility support and falls prevention

  • End-of-life and palliative care

  • Support following hospital discharge

  • Care for children and young people with additional needs

This variety makes the role rewarding, meaningful, and never the same two days in a row.

Working locally, caring locally

Because we operate across Chippenham and the wider Wiltshire area, many of our carers work close to home. This reduces travel stress, improves work-life balance, and allows carers to build familiarity with their local area and regular clients.

Our local knowledge also means better coordination with families, GPs, district nurses, and other professionals — something our staff value and benefit from every day.

Safeguarding, compliance, and professionalism

Cura Homecare takes safeguarding and compliance extremely seriously. All roles involve working with vulnerable adults and are subject to:

  • Enhanced DBS checks

  • Satisfactory references

  • Ongoing monitoring and supervision

We maintain high standards because safety, trust, and professionalism are non-negotiable — for clients and for staff.

Who we’re looking for

We’re always keen to hear from people who are:

  • Caring, reliable, and professional

  • Comfortable working independently

  • Willing to learn and follow care plans

  • Hold the right to work in the UK

  • Drivers with access to a vehicle

Applicants on 20-hour visas are accepted. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship for roles.
